Today, our students had the exciting opportunity to visit the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). As they toured the campus and learned more about college life, many began to envision their own futures and consider which schools might be the right fit for them. We’re thrilled that this year has included multiple visits to local colleges, helping students explore their options firsthand. Looking ahead, we’re already planning trips to Colorado State University (CSU) and the University of Colorado Boulder (CU) this fall—continuing to inspire and empower our future scholars.

Today some physics and geometry kids were able to enjoy a learning lab theough Main Event in Colorado springs. They did a STEM lab rotation where they used the scientific method to drywrmine the best bowling technique, used data collection to determine favorite pizza toppings, and then applied mirrors and angles of reflection to defeat each other in laser tag.

On Tuesday night, over twenty seniors from Florence Jr/Sr High School were awarded more than $365,000 in scholarships, generously provided by local organizations and the Florence Scholarship Foundation. These awards ranged in value from $500 to $30,000 per year for four years. to help seniors in their future goals of attending higher education institutions. Thank you to all the organizations, individuals and committee members who worked to make this happen.

At the 2025 Fremont Conservation District Annual Landowners Banquet the FCD Cultivator Award was presented to Mrs. Cynthia Fall! The purpose of this award is to recognize and celebrate excellence in conservation education, advocation, and collaboration.
“The Inaugural FCD Cultivator Award goes to Cynthia Fall, Florence FFA. Since Cynthia came on as the Ag teacher in Florence, she has been a great supporter of the Conservation District and has participated in several programs. She participated in our bailing twine recycling program in 2021 and utilized matching funds from the Conservation District to install both a green-house and an edible garden for use by FFA students. Her students served at last year’s annual banquet and again this evening. The Conservation District Board is impressed and excited about the direction Cynthia is taking the FFA program!”
Join us in celebrating Cynthia 🙌🏼👏🏼
