
Due to weather, the high school track meet scheduled for tomorrow, April 19th has been cancelled.

Today students from National Honor Society and our Ag/FFA programs volunteered at Safety Town, a county wide event for our youngest students. Florence students were among many county agencies who helped during this wonderful event at Head Start.










Reminder to parents that tomorrow, April 16th students in grades 8th through 11th will be taking state testing. 7th and 12th grades will not report. 9th, 10th and 11th graders will be taking PSAT/SAT tests that serve as graduation requirements and college entrance scores. Students will report at normal times and buses will run. There will be one breakfast. Snack and lunch will be served. Students will be released at 1:00 PM. Buses will also run at that time.

The Huskies are so excited to host our first home HS track meet on our new field. Come and support our team Saturday the 19th.


SOCO ticket will be here this week for our home soccer game vs. Salida.

May 5th - Senior Athletic Banquet- Dinner for athletes only at 5:00 Awards at 6:00
May 6th - Senior Scholarship Awards Night 5:30 in the auditorium
May 13th - NHS Senior Night and Senior Sunset
May 14th - Proposed Senior Trip Day - More details to follow
May 15th - 8:45 leave for Dog Walk, 11:00 to 12:00 hand out cords and prepare for practice 12:00 Lunch 12:30 graduation practice 2:30 Funfest!!

May 16th - Report to the auditorium for graduation by 5:15. Group photo and line up

All events on the 15th are super important. Please make sure you are here to catch the bus with your cap and gown for the dogwalk at 8:45. All cap designs are due to Mrs. Camper for approval by May 1st.

Students at FJSHS are well into the testing season that started Monday. 7th and 8th graders will complete their ELA and Math CMAS tests this week and their Science CMAS exam next Wednesday. Freshmen, Sophomores will take PSAT next Wednesday, which is two years of practice before taking the SAT test, which can be a graduation competency. Juniors are scheduled to take the SAT on Wednesday the 16th as well. Please see the information below for adjusted school and bus times for April 16th. 7th graders and Seniors do not report to school on the 16th.


Parking for baseball will be in the main and south parking lots. Enter the baseball field down the south side ramp by the football field. Admission prices are $6 for adults and $4 for seniors.
