Tomorrow's middle school track meet has been postponed to Monday May 11th in Canon City.
High School Baseball has been cancelled for today. We are working on a reschedule date. More information to come.
The High School Girls Soccer game in Rye has been cancelled this evening due to weather.
There will not be middle school softball practice this evening due to the field conditions. Enjoy the weekend!
Advanced Placement courses will begin end of year exams next week. These exams could possibly earn students in AP courses college credit with a score of a 3 or better. Good Luck to all our AP students!

6th Grade orientation and 6th Grade Parent Night is tomorrow. Students will visit FJSHS high school during the school day for a tour, meet the staff, games and goodie bags. Tomorrow evening at 6:00 parents and students are welcome at the Jr/Sr High School for a Parent Night BBQ and meeting at 6:00 PM .

Some members of our FJSHS pantry team today were able to be celebrated and recognized for all of their efforts. They attended "Recipe for Hope", a Care and Share event. We are proud of Senior Noelle Francis for being a speaker at the event and sharing her story. We look forward to continuing to serve our community.




Just a reminder to all seniors that volunteer hours need to be turned into the office by May 1. All seniors are required to complete a total of 10 volunteer hours per year enrolled at Florence Junior Senior High School in order to graduate. Please make sure these documents are turned into the office.

Congratulations to Addison Dalton, Alleya Gifford, Jaxson Seifert, and Makayla Miller for competing at the State SkillsUSA conference. Addison placed 1st place in welding sculpture, Alleya placed 1st place in architectural drafting, and Jaxson placed 2nd in architectural drafting. Addison and Alleya will represent Husky SkillsUSA at the National SkillsUSA Convention in Atlanta in June.

Reminder from Coach Lozano: The High School Girl's Basketball banquet will be this evening at 6:00 PM in the Commons at FJSHS.
We are so proud of Stefanie Martinez-Yanez, Gemma Yeager and Dimitra Gates for representing Florence Jr/Sr High School at State FBLA! Their hard work, dedication, and determination truly paid off. State competition is a huge achievement, and these girls proved they can do amazing things when they set their minds to it.

Next Wednesday, April 15th, will be PSAT and SAT testing for 9th, 10th and 11th graders only. 7th, 8th and 12th graders will not report to school that day. Buses will run at normal times in the morning and students will be released at 12:30. Buses will also run at that time.
