May 4th - Athletes eat at 5:30 PM and Awards begin at 6:00 PM - all senior athletes received an invitation from Coach Nix.
May 5th - Scholarship Awards Night - 5:30 PM in the Auditorium - All seniors who are receiving an award received an invitation from Mrs. Benker.
May 6th - JR/Sr High Art Show - 5:00 PM
May 6th - CTE Project Fair - In the CTE Building 6:00 PM
May 7th - Spring Sports Pep Assembly
May 7th - Band in the Park
May 11th - Choir Pasta Dinner - 7:00 PM in the Commons
May 11th - Chromebook Check In
May 12th - Seniors Last Day - Senior Finals - Senior Sunset in South Dirt Parking Lot 6:30 - 8:00 PM
May 13th - Senior Trip to Boondocks - All seniors who signed up will receive a permission form
May 14th - Dog Walk - Be at school by 8:30 AM with your cap and gown
Cords will be handed out from 11:00 - 12:00
Pizza Lunch - 12:00 PM
Mandatory Graduation Practice - 12:30 PM
Fun Fest after Graduation Practice 3:00 - 11:00 PM Seniors Must stay for the whole time.
May 15th - Graduation - Be at the school and report to the Auditorium by 5:15 PM. We will take a group picture at 5:30 PM. Graduation will begin at 6:00 PM. After graduation the parade will begin at 8:00 PM from Babitz Field. All seniors must be in their cars. Law Enforcement will not allow students to ride on top of cars.

Due to the weather in Woodland Park, the middle school softball game has been canceled for today. At this time, we are still planning on holding practice for the team.
Due to expected weather conditions the middle school track meet in Woodland Park has been canceled for tomorrow.
6th Grade orientation and 6th Grade Parent Night is tomorrow. Students will visit FJSHS high school during the school day for a tour, meet the staff, games and goodie bags. Tomorrow evening at 6:00 parents and students are welcome at the Jr/Sr High School for a Parent Night BBQ and meeting at 6:00 PM .

Some members of our FJSHS pantry team today were able to be celebrated and recognized for all of their efforts. They attended "Recipe for Hope", a Care and Share event. We are proud of Senior Noelle Francis for being a speaker at the event and sharing her story. We look forward to continuing to serve our community.
Just a reminder to all seniors that volunteer hours need to be turned into the office by May 1. All seniors are required to complete a total of 10 volunteer hours per year enrolled at Florence Junior Senior High School in order to graduate. Please make sure these documents are turned into the office.

Congratulations to Addison Dalton, Alleya Gifford, Jaxson Seifert, and Makayla Miller for competing at the State SkillsUSA conference. Addison placed 1st place in welding sculpture, Alleya placed 1st place in architectural drafting, and Jaxson placed 2nd in architectural drafting. Addison and Alleya will represent Husky SkillsUSA at the National SkillsUSA Convention in Atlanta in June.
Reminder from Coach Lozano: The High School Girl's Basketball banquet will be this evening at 6:00 PM in the Commons at FJSHS.
We are so proud of Stefanie Martinez-Yanez, Gemma Yeager and Dimitra Gates for representing Florence Jr/Sr High School at State FBLA! Their hard work, dedication, and determination truly paid off. State competition is a huge achievement, and these girls proved they can do amazing things when they set their minds to it.

Next Wednesday, April 15th, will be PSAT and SAT testing for 9th, 10th and 11th graders only. 7th, 8th and 12th graders will not report to school that day. Buses will run at normal times in the morning and students will be released at 12:30. Buses will also run at that time.

This afternoon Canon City High School received a bomb threat and subsequently went into “Lock Down”. Out of an abundance of caution, Florence Jr/Sr High School also went into “Lock Down” temporarily and then to “Secure Perimeter”. Penrose Elementary also moved to “Secure Perimeter". There is no indication of a viable threat for any of the Fremont RE:2 schools and we will release at all campuses per typical procedures. Thank you.
Next week, FJSHS starts state testing. Let's start it off with a little school spirit as we try our best!
As we start to move towards the testing season, it is extremely important that your student remembers to bring their Chromebook and charger to school every day. Thank you for helping them remember to charge their Chromebook in the evening so they are ready to go for school the next day.
