Not only is Dr. Shapiro teaching AP Environmental Science this year, but she has also moved into her new role as the FJSHS Dean of Students. The Dean of Students main role is to support junior high students with behavior and being successful in classes.

Welcome to Mrs. Kayla Garcia, our new JH band director. She will be joining Mr. Nelson to make the second half of a stellar band program! We are excited to see where the year takes us!

Student picture day is this Tuesday on the 19th. Information will be sent home tomorrow. Senior parent night and concurrent enrollment parent information night is scheduled for Wednesday the 20th at 6:00 PM in the auditorium. Come early to attend the Husky Howl Booster Club meeting at 5:00 in the commons.

🌾 BIG NEWS for Husky Nation! 🌾 We’re planting new roots in agricultural education with two repurposed agriculture classrooms and a state-of-the-art livestock barn at Florence Jr/Sr High School! Students will now have hands-on opportunities to care for and house market livestock projects right on campus. Whether it’s raising animals, learning sustainable ag practices, greenhouse management, floral design or preparing for future careers in the ag industry—this is a game changer!

Back to School night will be this Wednesday evening. Families are welcome to come meet their teachers, tour the building and attend the fall sports parent meeting. 5:30-6:00 - 7th grade parent meeting in the auditorium 6:00-7:00 - All student and parent open house 7:00 - Fall Sports Meeting in the Main Gym
